Ingeborg van Teeseling

Dr. Ingeborg van Teeseling werkte 25 jaar als freelance journaliste in Nederland. Ook gaf ze les aan de School voor de Journalistiek en schreef ze twee boeken. In 2006 emigreerde ze naar Australië, waar ze een doctoraal Australische literatuur en een masters Australische geschiedenis deed. Ze gaf les aan de Universiteit van Wollongong en aan de University of the Third Age, waar ze met ouderen op zoek ging naar de geschiedenis van families en steden zoals Sydney. In Australië schreef ze ook twee boeken. De laatste heet Imagining Australia en is een kunstgeschiedenis van het land. Sinds 2022 is ze terug in Nederland. Ze runt een website die Australië uitlegt aan migranten: https://australia-explained.com.au/, werkt voor de Australische publieke radio en is halverwege een nieuw boek, over kinderen in het vroege Australië.

Dr. Ingeborg van Teeseling was a freelance journalist in The Netherlands for 25 years. During that period, she was also a teacher at the Journalism School in Utrecht and wrote two books. In 2006, she migrated to Australia to do a PhD in Australia literature and a Masters in Australian history. She was a lecturer at the University of Wollongong and the University of the Third Age, where she guided older students through the history of families and cities like Sydney. In Australia, she wrote two books as well. The last one was called Imagining Australia and is an art history of the country. She returned to The Netherlands in 2022.
