How to register for Dutch language courses

Registration Dutch language courses

Thank you for your interest in a Dutch language course at Volksuniversiteit Utrecht. Please, follow the process below to register for a Dutch language course.

1. Pre-register on the website

Select the course of your preference on our website and pre-register by following the regular order process on the website. Payment is not required yet.
You'll receive a message regarding the intake process.
No spot is reserved for you at this time.

2. Come to a consultation hour for an intake

Before you can do the final registration, you need an intake with a teacher. This is mandatory for any level, including Module 1.
During this interview the teacher makes an estimate of your language level and learning abilities.

Scheduled consultation hours

Registration for the consultation hours is not necessary. Everyone is served in order of arrival.

Can't make it to any of the consultation hours?

Pre-register on the website for your preferred course, we will contact you after the last consultation hour for an intake by phone. This is only the case if there are still spots available for the course you've pre-registered for. It is not possible to do an intake earlier than the scheduled consultation hours.

Recently did a Dutch language course at the Volksuniversiteit Utrecht?

You don't need an intake. You can enroll via the website for the next level. Your enrollment will be checked manually.

Recently did an intake at the Volksuniversiteit Utrecht?

You don't need another intake. You can enroll via the website for the course level recommended during the intake. State in the comments that you've already done the intake. Your enrollment will be checked manually

3. Do the final registration at the administration desk

After you've done the intake with a teacher come to the administration desk with your form. At the administration desk the right course will be selected and your registration can be finalized.
If you're eligable to the subsidy for Dutch language courses it will be applied automatically during this step.

4. Pay for the course

After your final registration at the administration desk, you'll receive a payment link by e-mail for the course fee. If you're eligable for the subsidy, this has already been applied in the payment link.
Only after your payment has been received, the spot is reserved for you. Due to a high demand for these courses, it's possible that the course fills up in the meantime, so don't wait to long to do the payment.

5. Confirmation: your spot is reserved

After your payment has been received a spot in the course is reserved for you. You'll receive a confirmation of your registration and an invoice via e-mail.
