Join us to immerse yourself in the beauty and peacefulness of Japanese calligraphy. Whether for personal enrichment, relaxation, or artistic exploration, this course offers a gateway into a timeless cultural art.
Through step-by-step lessons you learn how to draw 8 basic strokes of Japanese calligraphy, you’ll explore classic kanji characters, kana scripts, and brush techniques that have been passed down for centuries. In addition to learning proper strokes and form, this course will also encourage creativity, helping you find personal expression within this traditional art form.
This course is taught in English.
Necessary material: brush, ink stone, inkstick, paper, mat, paperweight, text.
2 euros /each lesson material cost is not included in the course fee. Students can buy from teacher, and also some of the materials can be purchased at Japans Winkeltje in Amsterdam.
